The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has started to accept application forms for Agriculture Officer (AO) and Assistant Agriculture Officer (AAO) Recruitment 2026. A total of 890 government vacancies are to be filled through this recruitment.

KEA AO AAO 2026 Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: B.Sc (Agriculture) or B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture from ICAR/AICTE recognised university.
  • For about 15% of all the vacancies, these are accepted – B.Tech (Food Science & Technology) / B.Tech (Food Technology) / B.Sc (Sericulture & Cooperation) / B.Sc (Agri Marketing & Cooperation) / B.Sc (Agri Business Management) / B.Sc (Agri Biotechnology) / B.Tech (Biotechnology) / B.Sc (Agricultural Engineering) / B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering).
• OTR Portal: Candidates must be registered with OTR portal.
• Kannada language proficiency is required (exemption may be provided to some candidates).
• Only Indian citizens/ eligible categories
• Age limit:

  • Category	Maximum Age
    General Merit	40 Years
    Category 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B	43 Years
    SC / ST / Category-1	45 Years

• Selection Process:
  • Qualifying – Kannada Language Test
  • Written exam
    • Mode – Offline
    • Type – OMR Objective Type
    • Number of Papers – 2 papers
    • Total Marks – 300 marks (each paper)
    • Negative Marking – Yes
      • 0.75 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer
  • Final selection will be done on the basis of written exam score
